May is a very busy month for most all schools. From finishing testing, field days, career events, end of year activities, and graduation, the month of May keeps everyone busy! This year, our school hosted a Careers on Wheels event in which community members/businesses were invited to bring their vehicle and talk to students about their job. It's always a little nerve wracking when planning an event like this because many people may not be able to attend. It is difficult to leave work, but we are so appreciative of those who were able to come out and spend time with us. Our kids had a great time! Of all the days to be sunny, no clouds, and in the 90's, you know it would hit when it was Careers on Wheels day. We were all sweating!
Our presenters were:
Port Wentworth Fire Department
Silk Hope Racing
Northwest Exterminating
Medics Ambulance Service
TICO (out of GA Ports)
Chatham County Mosquito Control w/ Helicopter
Below is a slideshow of our event. I hope you enjoy looking through the pictures.
